Environmental education and ecotourism
We teach people to look at the territory with the same criteria we use to document it.
What we do
We go out with schools and guide visitors through the wetlands, the ravines and the intertidal zone. What we know about the territory is of no use if it stays in the archive, so sustaining that knowledge includes sharing it with the people who live here and with those who come to visit. For us, ecotourism is a tool for education, appreciation and conservation, not just a visitor activity.
Methods
School outings
Field activities with students, using observation and recording methods adapted to each group and based on the same tools we use to study biodiversity.
Responsible ecotourism
We develop educational and responsible ecotourism experiences that bring people closer to local biodiversity and encourage observing, recording and valuing it through low-impact practices.
Teaching materials
Fact sheets and guides to the species of the area, available to teachers and guides.
Citizen science
We support participants so their observations are properly recorded and can be added to open platforms such as iNaturalist, contributing to the knowledge available about the territory.
What it produces
Students and groups in the field each season, responsible ecotourism experiences, teaching material about local species, and observations contributed by the community to open platforms.
